Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-27) released the following statement in response to the Peace Bridge Authority’s Request for Proposals (RFP):
“On Tuesday we freed the Peace Bridge project from a long bureaucratic holding pattern and just days later we have action that will put shovels in the ground and people to work in weeks.
“With local stakeholders in the lead we have new momentum, and as we have seen on our waterfront, local control and smaller, incremental steps can deliver great progress.
“I commend the Peace Bridge Authority for their swift action because we all know that the economic opportunity tied to our shared border simply can’t wait.”
