Rep. McCarthy recently met with New Hyde Park's "Save Our Village" association to discuss the Long Island Rail Roads' proposed Third Track project. Rep. Chairwoman Carolyn McCarthy Invites Southampton Judge Deborah Kooperstein
Rep. Carolyn McCarthy, Chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Healthy Families and Communities, held a hearing in Washington to educate Congress on the workings of the juvenile justice system. Judge Kooperstein testified on her work with Youth Courts and her work with adult Drug Courts, including the successes of each program in reducing recidivism and engaging youth in positive change. The Juvenile Justice Delinquency and Prevention Act is up for reauthorization by Chairwoman McCarthy's Subcommittee this Congress.
