Why I voted Yes on H.R. 6602

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrint

I voted Yes on H.R. 6602, a bill to make revisions in title 36, United States Code, as necessary to keep the title current and make technical corrections and improvements.

This bill would make a number of technical and clarifying changes to Title 36 of the U.S. Code. Specifically, this bill would implement changes including expansions to the table of contents and other minor edits and clarifications within the title.

Title 36 is comprised of laws relating to patriotic and national observances, ceremonies, and organizations. Actions such as the changes that H.R. 6602 would implement are necessary from time to time to clarify the intent of laws and keep U.S. Code as organized as possible.

The bill was approved by a vote of 392 – 0.
