      by Tom Norris..... My heart is with the families. May God bless and keep them always..... TAKEN OUT OF SCHOOL 18 children were taken out of school, and with 8 adults, makes 26 in the pool. A lone gunman, now we're being told, Was all it took to end their lives, but I think their lives were sold. Who is there amongst us, who doesn't clearly see, The madness all around us that made this come to be. We need more guns, the lobbyist say, We could have shot him down, If every boy and girl today were packing in that town. We need more guns politicians say, Every man has a right, To buy and sell assault weapons, And children , young and bright. We need more guns, the senate says, It's not us should make a rule, To take away those super guns From every crazy fool. We need more guns, the Congress says, It's written in the law. It's not our fault, these kids lay dying, calling for their Ma We need more guns, we know this, from the NRA, And any politician who doubts them Ohhhh, dearly he will pay. The NRA, it owns them, The politician has been paid, With re-election money, And children so afraid. Guns don't kill, it's people, These wiseman always tell. Won't you buy a gun from me, Before I burn in hell ? So now I finally get it, Not guns, but people kill. Boehner, McConnell,Cantor, To name a few, if you will. Ohh, and Mr. President, I can't say your hands are clean. I've voted for you twice now, But my eyes see how it's been. "Now's not the time " you said to us When Giffords was sadly shot, Do you think that maybe now's the time You can start to make a fuss. My hands are clean, says Cantor, Mine too, Boehner shouts out. You need us re-elected, Is there any doubt ? We have no blood on our hands, These children , WE didn't kill. Why should we do anything,, Why should we pass a bill. At the hands of politicians, It seems we've all been sold For even less than Jesus By Judas Iscariot of old. Oh, and me as I am writing, Just noticed my bloody hands, For silence, more than guns, Has destroyed so many lands. And how many times must the canon ball fly, Before they are forever banned? I think I'll copyright that line Before Dylan shows his hand. Certainly, our forefathers , Knew this day would come. And wanted us to protect The politicians, not the young. My thoughts are with the families , No parent should lose a child, Especially from lack of laws That clearly should be filed. And to the young survivors, A day you won't forget, Forgive me and all adults, For something that we let. I'll steal some words from Dylan, It's me he'll probably sue, But he has so many, He won't miss just a few. "May God bless and keep you always, May your wishes all come true, May you always do for others, And let others do for you. May you build a ladder to the stars And climb on every rung And may you stay Forever Young" And now I'll ask Piers Morgan , The bloke's been speaking out, Can you turn that Limey voice more into a SHOUT? I feel like Dylan's Mr. Jones, As I sit chilled to the bone Hearing all the talking heads, My God, am I here all alone ?????????

    • Gun Owners Responsibility Act
      Please consider our proposal. We would like to see passage of a federal Gun Owners Responsibility Act. Tax guns and bullets, to create a Trust to pay victims of gun violence for their pain and suffering, expenses, etc. Then use that tax as an incentive to push gun owners to police their own, and to make gun ownership safer. Adjust the tax from year to year to reflect increases or decreases in costs. Many variations are possible, of course. We look forward to hearing from you

      My thoughts on today. Usually there are enough posts about anything that happens within the world here on facebook that i would not say much. There have been many posts today over what has happened, and there will be many more, but I could not hold this in. Today I pray for all the families of each child and adult that were taken up to be with our lord, no matter what religion they follow. I pray for the town, for the loss of a loved one is hard to cope, even harder when just a child. I also pray for the soldier's family that paid the ultimate price for our freedom today in Afghanistan from a suicide bomber, always remember our troops no matter what. The shooting today just supports my view on gun laws and that there should be more armed citizens in our nation. Over the years there have been more and more accounts of shootings of our loved ones by just a handful of people and we as Americans along with our government are letting it happen. This is not a time to force more gun laws upon our nation, it is time to make it law for every citizen to be armed. Every household should be trained and then given a weapon to protect themselves, just like the worlds safest country Switzerland enacts. I also believe that principals, vice principals, professors, and even teachers at a school should be trained to handle a weapon and be armed while on campus. We trust our teachers with the success of our children's lives by teaching them, and something needs to be done to better keep them safe while at school. Yes, many teachers have done very noble and heroic acts in many different situations from training that has helped mitigate the outcome of a shooter. This school's principal was shot in the leg, had she met this man and been armed, maybe just one less loved one would have been taken from us today. I believe there should be more officials allowed to be armed on a military post as well as college campuses and malls across America. More armed citizens means less crime, less loved ones taken from us, less funerals. No it will never stop it, but if there were more armed citizens willing to fight to keep our families here in our own land safe, then people who's minds choose to do something so insane will have more of a fight when they do or even help them choose not to. Its time, my fellow Americans to stand together to protect our own land. "Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted." - Matthew 5:4

      Senator Boxer: Over 100,000 people are begging you, and other officials, to look into Charlie's case at the SF ACC. Charlie is an innocent dog that was spooked by an untrained police officer and a retired race horse, second day on the job, and Charlie bit the horse. The Police Department has published altered and photoshopped photographs of the injuries to the horse that are inconsistent with previous accounts of the alleged injury. CHARLIE HAS BEEN SENTENCED TO DIE AND IS BEING TORTURED IN THE SF ACC by being in solitary confinement with no visitation rights by his family for FOUR MONTHS. THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING THIS INJUSTICE. Please help Charlie. Thank you.
