How to Participate

The competition is open to all high school age students throughout the United States and is an effort put forth by the House of Representatives to recognize the tremendous talent of our high school art students.

The first place entry from each Congressional district is displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year. Further, the student artist is invited to attend the opening ceremony for the display ceremony held in the spring in Washington, D.C.

  • The deadline for submitting entries for the 2013 competition is TBD.
  • Entries may be dropped off at either my La Crosse or Eau Claire district office. Entries may also be mailed to my district offices.
  • Due to glass breakage in the past, we ask that all entries be packaged to withstand transport/shipping.
  • Schools may submit as many pieces as the wish, but please limit entries to one per student.
