Congressional Republicans are planning to unveil the 'new' GOP agenda tomorrow, 'A Pledge to America.' Early press reports indicate Republicans will promote more of the same failed policies to:
- Ship jobs overseas
- Blow a $700 billion hole in the deficit to give tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires
- Turn Social Security from a guaranteed benefit into a guaranteed gamble
- Increase taxes on hardworking Americans and small businesses by repealing tax cuts
- Take away patients' rights
- Once again, subject American families to the recklessness of Wall Street
Ironically, the party that's voted against small business tax cuts enacted into law by this Congress is actually holding their press event at a small business just outside Washington--and then racing back presumably to vote against the Small Business Jobs Act--crucial to get small businesses hiring and leveraging $300 billion in private sector credit flowing, without adding a dime to the deficit.
