Recent Grant Alert

May 2012
Federal Grants Newsletter

Dear Friend:

The Federal Government has many programs that provide funding to non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and local governments to carry out important public policy initiatives.  To assist organizations in our area, I regularly send out the most recent listing of federal grant opportunities that are accepting funding applications.

Should you decide to apply for funding, you must find the full grant announcement by clicking on the links below.  In general, Grants.gov is a useful tool for obtaining information on specific grant programs, eligibility criteria, descriptions of the activities that can be funded, and the amount of federal dollars that have been allocated for the program for the year.  Most grants require that you apply online or by downloading the application from this website.

Please let me know at the earliest possible time if you decide to apply for a federal grant, as I would welcome the opportunity to lend my support to your application.

My staff and I want to assist you in your efforts to obtain federal grant funding and are available to help in any way we can.  For assistance, please contact Michael Tou in my San Fernando Valley Office at (818) 501-9200 or michael.tou@mail.house.gov.

I hope that you find the enclosed information useful.  I look forward to working together to obtain funding that will afford your organization greater opportunities to serve the residents of our community.

Sincerely,

BRAD SHERMAN
