December 13, 2011 - U.S. Congressman Mike Ross, D-Ark., urges the House of Representatives to pass H. R. 886, the United States Marshals Service 225th Anniversary Commemorative Coin Act, to honor those who served as marshals and gave their lives in service to their country. Up to $5 million from the sale of the coin will also support the construction of the U.S. Marshals Museum in Fort Smith, Ark., which will provide a boost to the regional economy during construction and once its opened.

A fifth generation Arkansan, Congressman Mike Ross of Prescott represents the Fourth Congressional District of Arkansas in the U.S. House of Representatives. Ross serves on the House Energy & Commerce Committee and serves as the ranking member for the U.S. de of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Ross is also Co-Chair of the Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus, Co-Chair of the Second Amendment Task Force and Co-Chair of the Blue Dog Coalition, a group of fiscally conservative Democratic House members that advocates the principles of fiscal responsibility and government accountability.
