The High School Art Exhibition is an annual event for high school students in congressional districtart_competition_resized.jpgs throughout the country. Georgia's 12th Congressional District participates with the Department of Art, Music and Theatre at Armstrong Atlantic State University to provide students the opportunity to participate in a juried exhibition. The competition is open to all high school students (grades 9-12) in the 12th District of Georgia.  Each high school may submit multiple entries of artwork. Each student is allowed no more than two entries and we are requesting that there be no more than fifteen total entries per school.   Selected submissions will be entered in the Exhibition to be displayed at AASU's Fine Arts Gallery. The winning piece will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

Contest Rules
Each piece must be two-dimensional.  The work cannot be larger than 30 inches by 30 inches when framed and cannot be more than four inches deep.  Permitted artwork categories include paintings, drawings, collages, prints, photographs, and computer generated works.  All entries must be original in concept, design, and execution.

Entries are accepted by mail by February of each year or by person in the Fine Arts Gallery at Armstrong Atlantic State University.  Work that has been copied from another source (such as a drawing from a published photograph) or work that has been submitted in previous years will be pre-juried out of the exhibition.
