  1. HONORING OUR HEROES
Last week I had the opportunity to speak with a constituent of mine, Eugene Abt. Mr. Abt, 86 yrs old, is a World War II veteran who served in the infantry division of General Patton's Third Army. While speaking with him,...
I learned that his grandson is following in his footsteps, currently serving our nation overseas as a Marine in the Middle East. I wanted to take the time now to thank Mr. Abt and his family for their service and sacrifice to our nation. Men, women and families like the Abts allow us all to live free.

Thinking about all our men and women in uniform, past and present, this holiday season.

  3. This evening at sundown, families and friends around the world will come together to celebrate the beginning of Hanukkah. Hanukkah reminds us all of the strength of faith and perseverance. We wish all of our friends in the Jewish community a very blessed holiday!
  4. Today we remember the brave Americans who perished on December 7, 1941 at Pearl Harbor. We're ever mindful of those who fought back on that fateful day, the Greatest Generation of WWII, and all those who continue to defend our liberties and the cause of freedom.

  13. The President’s plan to increase taxes on the upper 2% covers the spending by the federal government not for eight years, not for eight months, not for eight weeks but for only EIGHT DAYS. I’m puzzled by an administration that seems to be more interested in raising tax rates than in gaining economic vitality.

  16. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I would like to wish you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving. I am grateful for the honor of serving you each and every day.

As Americans, there is so much for which we are thankful – not the least of which is the ability to live in a nation that is safe, prosperous and free. We are afforded such a blessing because there are brave men and women who protect and defend our liberty, even laying down their lives for our beloved nation.

As we gather with our family and friends for this special holiday, may we also keep in mind those serving in our armed forces overseas who are separated from their loved ones on Thanksgiving. For them, our gratitude knows no bounds.
