Congressman Kissell Meets with Lutheran Home Residents in Albemarle

CONCORD, NC – Monday, Congressman Larry Kissell (NC-08) visited with residents of Lutheran Home in Albemarle, speaking directly with a group of seniors about their concerns, from local issues to current work being done in Washington.

"The most important thing I can do in Congress is work to protect our seniors here in Stanly County and throughout this district," Kissell said. "As we fight to rein in the out-of-control government spending that's happening in Washington, I will continue my pledge to preserve Social Security and Medicare, and make sure that we keep the important promise we made to our seniors."

Lutheran Home of Albemarle has offered long and short term rehabilitation, nursing and assisted living services for residents since 1971.

"I was honored to meet with the residents and staff of this facility, and I so much appreciate the comfort and care shown to those who call it home," added Kissell. "Having a reliable source of assistance and care is important to our older Americans and those in rehabilitation, and this facility helps to provide an added level of medical care and companionship for the residents and their families who are caring for them."
