Fort Bragg earns excellence award

(Salisbury Post)
FAYETTEVILLE – Secretary of Defense Robert Gates announced that Fort Bragg has earned 2010 Commander in Chief's Annual Award for Installation Excellence.
There are five awards given to an installation representing each of the four branches of service and one to the Defense Logistics Agency facility.
In a press release, N.C. Rep. Larry Kissell (NC-08) congratulated Fort Bragg on receiving the military's top award for excellence among Army posts.
"Those of us in North Carolina already recognize the level of excellence at Fort Bragg, and I am pleased to see that Secretary Gates and the Department of Defense realize the gem they have in Fort Bragg as well," Kissell said in the press release. "I want to commend the excellent leadership of General Frank Helmick and everyone serving at Fort Bragg for the outstanding work they do in service to our nation."
