NIH Research

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) makes up the core of our nation’s medical research infrastructure.  I’m immensely proud that every year, researchers and scientists in Minnesota receive hundreds of millions of dollars from the NIH to make discoveries that benefit Minnesotans, America, and people around world.  The work being done at Minnesota’s academic and medical institutions supports high-quality jobs, and has positioned Minnesota as a national leader in medical research and medical technology innovation.  This research is critical to the health of the nation and the advancement of medicine. As a member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, I will continue to support robust funding for the NIH, and I am working to ensure federal policy supports the research and innovation happening in Minnesota.
