South Bend, Ind. – Last night, Congressman Joe Donnelly’s office hosted a Veterans’ Benefits Panel at Indiana University South Bend to help veterans learn how to access the benefits they earned while serving our country.
“I’m pleased my office could host this event to help veterans access the benefits they earned by serving our country,” said Donnelly. “We have an obligation to ensure that veterans receive the best quality medical care and benefits and that information on how to promptly receive these benefits is accessible. I thank the members of the panel for sharing their expertise, and I thank the veterans for their service.”
Representatives from the Veterans Benefits Administration, VA Northern Indiana Health Care System, St. Joseph County Veterans Service Office, IU South Bend, Ivy Tech, WorkOne, and the Michiana Military Support Network attended. The panel of experts discussed and took questions from attendees on disability compensation benefits, health benefits, education benefits, job assistance, and the transition back to civilian life.
