Washington must display the same fiscal discipline and accountability American families practice on a daily basis. Reining in out-of-control spending, easing the tax burden and reducing the excessive growth of government bureaucracy are important first steps towards a new era of fiscal responsibility in our nation’s capital. Changing the tax and spend attitude in Washington will not be easy, but with hard work and perseverance we can make certain our children are not forced to pay for the mistakes of our generation. It is no longer good enough to say no to bad ideas – we must also say no to good ideas to get our fiscal house in order.
