Westmoreland Named Deputy Chairman of National Republican Congressional Committee

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Incoming Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) has selected Congressman Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA) to serve as his Deputy Chairman at the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC).

“Lynn Westmoreland is a well-respected leader in the House, and I’m pleased that he will serve as Deputy Chairman at the NRCC,” stated Chairman-elect Greg Walden (R-OR).  “Lynn is savvy, thoughtful and a hard worker.”

Congressman Westmoreland has served in a leadership role at the NRCC for the past two terms, leading the redistricting effort as the Vice Chairman for Redistricting.  Westmoreland will officially begin his role once the 113th Congress is sworn in next year.  As Deputy Chairman, Congressman Westmoreland will work closely with Chairman Walden and the staff at the NRCC.  For more information on the NRCC, visit www.nrcc.org.

"I am honored my good friend Greg Walden has asked me to serve as his deputy at the NRCC,” stated Congressman Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA).  “I enjoyed my time as a vice chairman working on candidate recruitment and redistricting and look forward to my new role.  I want to thank Greg for this opportunity and his continued leadership."
