Westmoreland Hosts Town Halls in Fayetteville, Columbus

Two More Town Halls in Barnesville, Carrollton to Be Held Last Week of October

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, Congressman Lynn Westmoreland wrapped up the first two of his four town hall tour throughout Georgia’s Third Congressional District in October.  On Tuesday, Congressman Westmoreland met with approximately 50 people in Fayetteville and discussed a variety of issues facing Georgians today.

At each town hall meeting Congressman Westmoreland gives a brief opening statement where he updates the crowd on recent events in Washington and then opens up the floor for questions from the audience.  The questions ranged from overseas voting issues for our military to the events in Benghazi to the impact ObamaCare will have on people starting next year.10-16-12 Fayetteville Town Hall 062

“I’ve got two more town halls coming up at the end of the month,” stated Westmoreland.  “The first one is on Monday the 29th and it’s in Barnesville at the Barnesville Civic Center and the second one is the next day on Tuesday the 30th in Carrollton at the Carroll County Courthouse.  Both start at 6:00pm and will run for about an hour.  If you haven’t had a chance to make it out to one of the earlier town halls, I hope you can make it to one of these.”
