Dear Neighbor, Today marks eleven years since 2,977 people lost their lives in the attacks of September 11th. Today we honor and remember the victims and heroes of 9-11. In the years since September 11, we’ve seen the decimation of al Qaeda, the fall of the Taliban in Afghanistan, the end of tyranny in Iraq, and the death of the mastermind – Osama bin Laden. None of this would have been possible without the professionalism and perseverance of our U.S. servicemen and women. It is important to remember that we still have a sizeable force in Afghanistan and our men and women in uniform continue to put their lives on the line. September 11 is a reminder that life is precious and we must cherish each day. We honor the people who lost their lives and we reaffirm a solemn promise to never forget them. My thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of all those who died in the attacks in New York, the Pentagon and Pennsylvania. My thoughts are also with our troops around the world who continue to keep America safe. May God Bless America. Sincerely, KEN CALVERT Member of Congress P.S.
