VETERANS ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Congressman Gerlach has worked diligently to address the needs and provide the services that our veterans have earned serving our country. In 2003 he introduced legislation, H.R. 1516, to create a new veterans cemetery in southeast Pennsylvania. This bill was signed into law by the President on Veterans Day, November 11, 2003. And the cemetery opened in 2009 in Bucks County.

Congressman Gerlach is also proud of the efforts of the entire Congress to assist veterans by supporting increased funding to protect the Tricare program so many of our veterans count on and ensuring the Veterans Administration has the resources it needs to care for service men and women when they return home. He has worked with his colleagues to strengthen programs that provide veterans with job training and homeownership opportunities as well as programs to eradicate homelessness among veterans.
