Health care reform is essential for containing cost and expanding access. This can be accomplished without raising taxes or stripping $100's of billions out of the Medicare system in order to start a new entitlement program. We should allow small businesses to band together for the purchase of health insurance and promote price competition by allowing consumers to purchase health insurance across state lines forcing competition among insurance companies. We should also provide tax incentives for individuals to purchase their own health insurance, and contain cost through medical malpractice reform. |
