Washington, D.C., Apr 6, 2009 - The U.S. Chamber of Congress presented U.S. Representative Jeff Miller (FL-01) with the Spirit of Enterprise Award for his strong support of small businesses in the 110th Congress. This is the 6th time Rep. Miller has received the Chamber's award.

The Spirit of Enterprise Award is presented by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to members of Congress who voted in support of the Chamber's position on legislation a minimum of 70 percent of the time during the previous session. The award signifies the Chamber's appreciation of those members by identifying individual senators and representatives as strong supporters of free enterprise in America. The U.S. Chamber presented 260 members of Congress with the Spirit of Enterprise Award for their votes on pro-growth legislation during the second session of the 110th Congress. In the 20th annual presentation of the Spirit of Enterprise Award, the Chamber recognized lawmakers who supported efforts to stabilize the economy and invest in transportation infrastructure and who opposed onerous climate change regulations and the expansion of pay discrimination liability.
