Sugar Creek Packing Co. expected to create up to 400 new jobs

Anderson, IN – U.S. Congressman Mike Pence congratulated Cambridge City and Sugar Creek Packing Co. today after the company announced that it will locate a manufacturing facility in the former Really Cool Foods production facility located in Cambridge City. Sugar Creek Packing Co. plans to invest $28.5 million to increase the facility's capacity and is expected to create up to 400 new jobs by 2016.

"I want to congratulate Sugar Creek Packing Co. and Cambridge City," said Pence. "This jobs announcement is good news for Hoosiers all across Wayne County and the surrounding area, and it is further proof that Indiana has a great business climate and some of the finest workers in the country."

-Sugar Creek Packing Co. focuses its business on proteins (pork and turkey bacon, bacon bits, meatballs, pizza toppings and chicken products), sandwiches for retail and wholesale channels, meal components and made to order "specialty" products.
