Congressman Mike Pence

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Mike Pence delivered the following remarks today at an Indianapolis March for Life event:

"I'm Mike Pence and I'm pro-life and I am honored to stand with you at the Indianapolis March for Life. We gather to mark the 39th anniversary of the worst Supreme Court decision since Dred Scott. And we will keep on gathering until Roe v. Wade is sent to the ash heap of history where it belongs.

"A nation that will not stand for life, will not stand for long. To renew our state and our nation, we must not relent until we restore the sanctity of life to the center of American law.

"I believe that ending an innocent unborn human life is morally wrong. But it is also morally wrong to take the taxpayer dollars of millions of pro-life Hoosiers and use them to support abortion providers.

"Because of your stand, Indiana is now a leader for life in America. Because of your work, compassion is overcoming convenience, life is defeating despair and forgiveness is vanquishing a lifetime of regret.

"Life may be losing in Washington, D.C., but life is winning in America."
