Senator Lautenberg joins Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and Senators Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and Tom Carper (D-DE) to celebrate Earth Day and call for the passage of legislation to combat global warming. A bipartisan bill to limit greenhouse gas emissions, which Senator Lautenberg helped craft and get through committee, is expected to be taken up by the full Senate this summer.
