Small Businesses
Small businesses drive our state's economic engine. When I travel around Minnesota, I visit business owners who want to hire more workers and expand their operations, but are having trouble obtaining credit. After the financial collapse in the fall of 2008, credit became extremely tight. The Recovery Act expanded the Small Business Administration's loan capacity and increased loan guarantees, but more is needed. I support the continuation of the Recovery Act programs and other efforts to give small businesses access to the credit they need to jumpstart our economy.
