What tours can I request through Senator Boxer’s office?
Answer: Senator Boxer’s is happy to direct her staff to help her constituents reserve space on tours of the White House, the Library of Congress, the Bureau of Printing and Engraving, and the United States Capitol.

How long before my trip should I request tours from Senator Boxer’s office?
Answer: Due to the high volume of tour requests for tours, requests must be submitted two to six months in advance of the requested tour date.

When will I hear back about my tour requests?
Answer: Tours will be processed in the order that they are received. Please note that our office does not hear back from the White House until 7-14 days in advance of the requested tour date. White House Tour availability varies dependent on the time of year and schedule of the President. Tours times and availability are subject to change dependent on the schedule of the President or the White House. Do I need to make a reservation to visit the White House?
Answer: The White House accepts tour requests through congressional offices only. However, the White House Visitor Center is open to the public The Center is open seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and features many aspects of the White House, including its architecture, furnishings, first families, social events, and relations with the press and world leaders, as well as a thirty-minute video. The White House Visitor Center is located at the southeast corner of 15th and E Streets, before or after their tour. Allow between twenty minutes and one hour to explore the exhibits.

Are there Self Scheduled tours open to the public?
- Answer: The Library of Congress, the Bureau of Printing and Engraving, and the Capitol are open to the public and there are opportunities to take the same tours without scheduling them through my office.
