YMCA of El Paso
The YMCA and YWCA branches regularly have summer camps in the summer. Contact your local branch for times and dates. The camps are suited for children, ages 5 and above, but younger children often participate with the help of their parents. Below address and number are for El Paso’s main YMCA and YWCA offices.

Boxing and Open Gym Schedules

El Paso Museum of Archeology
The El Paso Museum of Archaeology will have four-day archaeology camps from 9 a.m. to noon on the following weeks: June 22-25 and July 27-30 for ages 6-8, and July 13-16 and Aug. 10-13 for ages 9-12. Cost: $70 for non-museum members, and $55 for museum members.

UTEP Community Youth Enrichment Programs
The University of Texas at El Paso Professional and Continuing Education department has a variety of sports camps and other camps. Parents are encouraged to register their children early. Camps include Golddigger dance camp, soccer and swim, cooking, photography and dance.

El Paso Kids-n-Co. Theatre camp
El Paso Kids-N-Co. always has two-week theater camps for younger children as well as teens in the summer. The camps teach the basics of theater including building a set, making costumes and rehearsing a full-length play.

El Paso Museum of Art
The El Paso Museum of Art will have a summer long schedule of art camps.

El Paso Zoological Society
Campers will explore the world of "Lions and Meerkats" featuring the secret lives of our African Lions and the playful gang of Meerkats. They will learn about habitat, diet, predators and the intelligence of these magnificent animals. Zoo campers will also have the opportunity to visit behind the scenes, converse with zoo keepers, participate in animal presentations, work on crafts, play games, enjoy healthy snacks and receive an official zoo camp T-shirt.

For one action-packed week, you will be introduced to a variety of engineering fields including electrical, materials, civil, and mechanical engineering through problem-based/design-oriented projects. You will conduct experiments in UTEP Engineering laboratories working side-by-side with UTEP engineering faculty and students.

UTEP Kidz on Campus Summer Program
P3 Kidz on Campus is an enrichment education for kids entering grades 1-12. You will find a variety of classes that will interest and engage your child to include an eight week half & full day program that offers supervised lunch and extended care options.

EPCC Children’s College
The Children’s College is designed to offer a wide spectrum of courses to encourage students to develop and apply critical and creative thinking skills to areas of study in which they have an interest. The objective of this program is to give children the opportunity to take classes in a college environment and to increase their awareness of the importance of a College Education.

Boys and Girls Club
The Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso is a community-based organization that provides young people with fun, safe and constructive environment when they are not at home or school. Clubs offer programs and services designed to build character and strengthen life skills.

Creative Kids
Creative Kids holds summer camps that include all materials and snacks. Classes include painting, drawing and ceramics and watermedia.

Mad Science
Mad Science will have a variety of summer camps in June and July in a variety of topics including CSI Super Sleuth, Earth and Animal Kingdom, NASA, and Red-Hot Robots. Costs: $75 on up.

Downtown (Main) El Paso Public Libraries
At the Main Library you will find a wide variety of services from reference and information to genealogy. The Main Library houses the internationally recognized Southwest collection, as well as other special collections. Internet computers, meeting rooms, and assistive technology are also available.

Language Plus
Language Plus will have weekly language camps from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m., starting June 15. Camps are in English as a Second Language, Spanish, French, German, Mandarin Chinese and Korean. Cost: $85 per week, plus $10 registration fee.

At The Clayground
At The Clayground, a “paint your own pottery” studio, offers fun and creative activities for kids and adults. No previous experience is needed. Prices are generally all inclusive. One price includes the ceramic piece of your choice, use of paints, brushes, and all other tools, glazing and firing.

El Paso's B Gourmet Essence of Cooking is a family-owned gourmet sauce and spice company with headquarters in El Paso, which has expanded to offer fun cooking classes for children.

The El Paso Zoo offers camps and special sessions for children to learn about the habitat, diet and intelligence of reptiles and will have the opportunity to visit behind the scenes, work on crafts, games, participate in live animal encounters and much more.

Club Rec Summer Camp
Club Rec Summer Camp develops the mind, body and spirit of children 6 to 12 years of age in El Paso. The weekly fee is $40 per child per week, and the Teen Mentoring Program for youth ages 13-16 is $20 per child per week. There are scholarships available for families that meet HUD (low income) guidelines.
