We all owe a debt of gratitude to our nation’s veterans and their families for the tremendous sacrifices they have made in the defense of our nation. As a Member of Congress one of the most important responsibilities I have is to ensure that those who have served are provided with the highest quality of care possible. Our returning service members and veterans should never have to go from the front line to the unemployment line. We owe it to our returning veterans to make sure they get the heroic welcome they deserve, and to make sure that they have a smooth transition to civilian life.
