OLMSTED RECEIVES USDA LOAN

WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Village of Olmsted has been approved for a $189,000 Water and Waste Disposal loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Office of Rural Development. The funds will be used to upgrade the Village of Olmsted’s existing sanitary sewer collection and treatment system.

“Safe, functional sewer systems are important infrastructure components for improved health and quality of life,” said Costello. “I will continue to support these efforts to serve our Southern Illinois communities.”
