Commuter benefits: Rep. Nan Hayworth has introduced legislation (H.R. 6606, text: http://bit.ly/QZ2ycg) that would up the maximum tax benefit for transit riders to $240 a month, equalizing the maximum benefit with parking. Fellow Republican Reps. Peter King and Robert Dold are co-sponsors, and each lawmaker is in a district with high public transportation ridership. This is one to watch for co-sponsors.
