News 12: Rep. Hayworth Tours Damage in Bedford

BEDFORD - Congresswoman Nan Hayworth (R) surveyed the damage throughout her district yesterday saying more resources need to be provided to prevent prolonged power problems.

Hayworth was in Bedford where most of the town has been without power for days. The town hall has stayed open far passed business hours to provide residents with a place to keep warm and charge up electronics. "People are suffering and we need to take action to make sure this never happens again," says Hayworth.

Sean Patrick Maloney, Hayworth's Democratic challenger in next week's election, says he essentially agrees with what the incumbent congresswoman saying there are no roadblocks to federal disaster relief.

The timeline right now for restoration in that area could be anywhere from Nov. 4 to Nov. 9.
