Mid-Hudson News: Hayworth Designated "Tax Fighter of the Day"

WASHINGTON – Rep. Nan Hayworth (R-19), a member of the House of Representatives Republican majority, was the given the title of “Tax Fighter of the Day” by party leadership.
In her capacity, she spread the GOPs message of “the disastrous impact of the fiscal cliff on our economy” as well as the upcoming vote in the House to extend the 2001 and 2003 tax rates.

Hayworth’s message was one of less federal spending and leaving personal resources more for the private individual.

“We have to have a federal government that looks at spending and says, ‘we will stop spending so much of our taxpayers’ hard earned contributions and we will live within our means and have a balanced federal budget’,” she said.

Republicans in the House blame the Democrat-controlled Senate and President for not reaching any productive compromise to the continued economic situation.
