Passport applicants in El Paso and the surrounding area who have a life or death emergency or who need to travel within 14 days can make an appointment to apply for a passport by calling 1-877-4USAPPT (1-800-487-2778).  The El Paso Passport Agency opened to the public early in 2011.  The new agency is located at 303 N. Oregon Street in Downtown El Paso. 

To learn which documents you need to obtain your U.S. passport, please go to http://travel.state.gov.  The expedite fee of $60 is required for each application submitted in person at the El Paso Passport Agency.

An applicant who does not need his/her passport within 14 days may wish to save $60 and visit the various passport acceptance facilities in the El Paso area. For a list of acceptance facilities near you, please go to our website at http://travel.state.gov. There, you may type in your zip code and find your nearest acceptance facility such as a post office or clerk of court.
