Long Island Rep. Peter King is going to ask his colleagues as they return to Congress tomorrow to join him in sponsoring a resolution supporting Israel's right to defend itself in the wake of the attack by Israeli commandos of a Gaza aid flotilla, arguing the White House needs to be more vocal.

One issue is to ask his colleagues saying that no U.S. money should be spent on the investigation into what happened during the incident, and that the nation should remove itself from the U.N. Human Rights Council.

The council "is a fraud, it's a charade," said King, who argued that while the U.S. has been the one country that hasn't condemned Israel, he thinks the language with an ally is too mixed.

He pointed to Vice President Joe Biden's more muscular language last week, and said, "The administration definitely sends a mixed message, and when you're dealing with allies, you should be sending an unequivocal message."
