WASHINGTON -- Rep. Peter King said yesterday he is holding another hearing on the terrorist threat growing out of the radicalization of US Muslims.

This one will focus on prisons.

"We have seen cases in which inmates have been radicalized at the hands of already locked-up terrorists or by extremist imam chaplains," said King (R-LI), chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee.

"Radicalized current and former inmates have planned and launched attacks or attempted to join overseas Islamic terrorist organizations," he said.

The hearing scheduled for Wednesday in Washington likely will draw sharp criticism from liberals and Muslim groups.

That's what happened in March, at King's first hearing on the homegrown terror threat.
