Emerson Statement on bin Laden Death

U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) today released a statement regarding the U.S. operation which resulted in the killing of Osama bin Laden by American forces.

"I am very proud of our U.S. military and intelligence community for finishing a job they began after 9-11, in a dark hour for our nation and for the families of nearly 3,000 Americans killed in those heartless attacks. I hope the death of Osama bin Laden provides comfort to the many people still aching from that tragedy. The enemies of freedom should know that America will not stand down for one moment from the mission of keeping the world safe from the scourge of terrorism." Emerson said.
