Lakewood, CO - Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) issued the following statment in recognition of Veterans Day:
“Veterans Day is a time to honor the service and sacrifice of those who have defended our great nation. We enjoy the freedoms we have today because so many brave men and women have fought to preserve our way of life. We made a promise to take care of our veterans when they return home and that is why caring for of our veterans is one of my biggest priorities in Congress. Whether it’s pushing for full funding for a new VA Medical Center in Aurora, helping ten stranded Colorado Iwo Jima veterans return for the 65th Anniversary of that historic battle or supporting a Post 9-11 GI Bill, I will continue to support our active duty troops and veterans.”
