Perlmutter Congratulates CD 7 High School Students at Art Competition

Washington D.C. – Today, Rep. Perlmutter released the following statement in recognition of all the participants of the 2010 7th Congressional District Art Competition hosted by the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design.  Each Spring Rep. Perlmutter’s office sponsors an art show for high schools in the 7th Congressional District, and the winner gets their work displayed at the U.S. Capitol for one year. A reception for all the winners will take place in Washington DC this Thursday. 

“This year we had our highest level of student participation yet and I continue to be so impressed with their talent and creativity.  I want to thank all of the talented students who contributed to the art show this year. Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design awarded a Student Scholarship to Danielle Chartier of Bear Creek High School, and Madelyn Casey of Wheat Ridge High School, won the Congressional Art Show. Thanks to Southwest Airlines for donating two tickets for the winner to fly to Washington D.C. for the Congressional Art Show Reception, and Meininger Art Supply for donating gift cards,” stated Perlmutter.
