Washington, DC—Today Rep. Ed Perlmutter released the following statement regarding comments made by some of the Aurora shooting victims families.

"The Aurora Theater shooting was an unspeakable tragedy for all the victims, their families and our entire community. The aftermath of this tragedy will be with us forever. I recognize the frustration some of the families are experiencing regarding the process put in place for victims’ assistance. In conversations with the Governor's office, I know the objective of everyone involved is to help the victims and their families.  However, through no fault of anyone, the process may need to be changed or modified to reflect some of the concerns expressed by the families while still fulfilling the generous intent of the donors."
