W. Todd Akin represents Missouri’s Second District (January 3, 2001-present).

Personal: Born, July 5, 1947; Married to Lulli, Six children & eight grandchildren.

Education: B.S., Worchester Polytechnic Institute, Worchester, Mass., 1971; M.Div., Covenant Seminary, St. Louis, Mo., 1984.

Professional Experience: United States Army, 1971-1977; Engineer, IBM, 1977-1981; Management, Laclede Steel, 1981-1984; member of the Missouri state house of representatives, 1988-2001; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Seventh and to succeeding Congresses.

Committees: Armed Services, Science and Technology, Budget
