The public office of U.S. Congressman Kenny Marchant offers the opportunity for veterans in the 24th district to participate in the Library of Congress' Veterans History Project. The project preserves and makes accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may better understand the realities of war.
Jack Stults is a local veteran of the 24th district of Texas who gave Rep. Marchant's office permission to share his video with you. Jack served in the military from 1943 to 1946 during World War II. Afterwards, he joined the Marine reserves where he earned the high rank of Sergeant and also served in Korea. Around minute 22, you’ll hear of how Jack saved not only his life but those of his fellow soldier by taking out a gunners nest on the beach of Tinian during WWII. If you are a veteran in the 24th district who would like to participate, please contact Rep. Marchant's veterans and military affairs liaison, John Hayes at 972-556-0162.
