Federal Agency Help - Small Business PDF Print

Small businesses are the engine of America's economy.  Over the last decade, small businesses created 70 percent of new jobs and are responsible for half of all jobs in the private sector. Are you a small business owner or are you considering starting your own business?  Here are some helpful resources.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is an independent agency of the federal government that helps Americans start, build and grow businesses. Through an extensive network of field offices and partnerships with public and private organizations, their mission is to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation.

The nearest SBA office is in Fresno and serves Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz counties.
