Hackensack is home to approximately 43,000 residents, making it the most populous municipality in Bergen County.  It is located approximately seven miles west of New York City and from different locations one can take in breathtaking views of the New York skyline.

Hackensack's rich historical landmarks include the First Dutch Reformed Church, known as the "Church on the Green." Built in 1696, it is the oldest church in Bergen County and the second oldest church in New Jersey.  The New Jersey Naval Museum and the World War II submarine USS Ling are also located in Hackensack.
