lyndhurst.gif The Township of Lyndhurst, located in southern Bergen County, is home to over 19,000 residents.  Lyndhurst boasts the beautiful Riverside County Park located along the Passaic River, where residents gather for picnics, outdoor events, and recreational sports leagues.  The people of Lyndhurst also enjoy town-sponsored trips to Broadway shows in nearby New York City, an annual Senior Citizen Prom, and "Music Under the Stars," which is four days of outdoor concerts, rides, games and feasts in the Town Park.

Originally Union Township, Lyndhurst was formed in 1917 by an act of the State Legislature.  The Lyndhurst Historical Society is currently involved in collecting memorabilia from Lyndhurst and raises money to restore historical properties, such as the Little Red Schoolhouse on River Road.
