moonachie.gif Moonachie, one of 70 towns that comprise Bergen County, is home to approximately 2,700 residents. It was incorporated as a borough by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 11, 1910.

Today, Moonachie is a growing community that serves as a gateway between the Northern and Southern sections of Bergen County.  Although Moonachie has its own school districts for grades pre-K through grade 8, its high school is combined with its neighboring town of Wood-Ridge. The township also shares its first responder services with Teterboro Airport, which is in close proximity to Moonachie.

You can read about this municipality, learn about its local government, and more at the Borough of Moonachie Web site http://www.moonachie.us/ .
