Side-by-Side Health Care Reform Bill Comparison: The New York Times Agrees

This past week, the New York Times published two editorials: the first, endorsing the House Democrats’ bill as real reform that will provide quality, affordable coverage to Americans while bringing down the deficit; and the second, criticizing the Republicans’ bill for doing, well, nothing.

  • Isn’t health care reform
  • Doesn’t reduce the number of uninsured
  • Cuts costs by cutting services to the American people

While our bill:

  • Reduces the deficit by $104 million
  • Drives down the number of uninsured
  • Provides immediate help to people denied coverage because of a preexisting condition
