In DC the weekend of April 21 and 22: You may be able to get free tickets for a White House Garden Tour

The White House will open its gardens and grounds to visitors on Saturday, April 21, from 9am to 4pm and Sunday, April 22,from 9am to 3pm.  Visitors can view the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, the Rose Garden, the South Lawn of the White House, and the White House Kitchen Garden. Tours of the East Wing and Executive Residence will be closed on these dates.

These tours are free, but tickets are required for all attendees. The National Park Service will distribute tickets at the Ellipse Visitor Pavilion located at 15th and E streets, which is next to the White House, beginning at 8 am for each day's tours.  Tickets will be distributed, one ticket per person, on a first-come basis.  For more information and rules on items not allowed on the White House grounds, please visit the White House website here
