A Candid Critique of TARP

If you ever wonder how effective the TARP program has been, you should read an op-ed in today's New York Times written by Neil Barofsky, the TARP Inspector General whose last day in office is today.  He offers a blunt, unvarnished review of the program, and cities difficulties dealing with Treasury officials, who often ignored his suggestions to improve the program.   Barofsky pulls no punches and doesn't hesitate to call out those who still try to spin TARP as a resounding success.
