Special ceremony for World War II veterans in the Capitol Visitor Center

Next week, the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC) in Washington, D.C. is holding a special ceremony for the members of the 100th Infantry Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team, and the Military Intelligence Service for their service during World War II. This group of veterans was recently awarded the Congressional Gold Medal.  The 100th Battalion was a group of Japanese Americans who fought in both the Pacific and European fronts in WWII.

On Wednesday Nov. 2, there will be no public tours of the CVC until 2pm.   Staff-led tours by congressional offices will be permitted on Nov. 2 during the ceremony. Please visit the CVC website for more information at http://www.visitthecapitol.gov/.
