Home » Constituent Services White House Tours: Frequently Asked Questions

It is important to note that submitting a tour request is NOT a guarantee that the White House will grant it.

A White House tour is dependent on availability for the given date, daily security measures at the White House, how early the request was received and the schedule of the President.

  • What security information is needed to tour?

    • In order to request a tour of the White House, each party must fill out a security roster. The security roster includes: full name, date of birth, social security number and current city and state of residency. Please be aware that submitting this information does not guarantee a tour will be granted of the White House. The White House Visitors Office decides which groups are approved or denied.
  • How will I know if my White House tour request has been approved?

    • After receiving notice from the White House concerning your tour request, my office will notify you as to whether or not the requested White House tour is possible.  White House notification should arrive 2 to 4 weeks before the tour date.
